Dean Lee, Specialist Leader (Deloitte) 2023 / CELP Cohort 7 Co-Lead

Dean is a Cloud Security Leader at Deloitte & Touche LLP, Cyber & Strategic Risk Services. He has over thirteen years of experience serving as a cloud, network, and cyber security architect and engineer including designing, configuring, implementing, and securing on-premise and cloud environments.

Dean has supported a wide variety of clients including the Department of Defense (Army, Navy, Marine Corps), Department of Veterans Affairs, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Department of Homeland Security, and the Defense Threat Reduction Agency.

Diana leads the Tech Strategy & Advisor practice inside AFS’ Strategy & Consulting business. She has been with Accenture for 17 years and has successfully led numerous multi-functional teams to deliver high-value enduring solutions for clients. Diana serves as a trusted subject matter advisor to key C-suite clients across all AFS Portfolios and works across multiple capabilities to shape thought leadership, provide highly effective solutions, and drive change.

She is looking forward to sharing and exploring lived experiences with Pan-Asian peers as part of her journey in determining the next step in her career as a leader. 

Elisha is the International Tax Director at McCormick & Company’s Global Headquarters. She has been with McCormick since August of 2021.

Prior to working at McCormick, she worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP (PwC) in their D.C. office as a Senior Manager in the International Tax, Quantitative Solutions and Technologies group.

Elisha has her MS in Taxation from American University and her BS in Accounting and Finance from the University of Maryland, College Park. She is also a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Virginia.

George is a Senior Manager with Accenture Federal Services supporting the Civilian Health portfolio. He has more than 17 years of professional experience supporting the public sector and has managed service delivery for numerous health clients. George enjoys working with and leading others to build high-performance teams.

George graduated from JHU and currently lives in Rockville, MD with his wife and two young children. In his spare time, George enjoys playing golf and trying new foods.

Dr. Zhu is the Financial Modeling Development Director at Freddie Mac, where he leads a team specialised in financial analytics applications. With a Ph.D. in Physics and a Master's in Finance, he combines deep technical knowledge with business acumen. Dr. Zhu has been instrumental in leveraging emerging technologies for innovative solutions, to help manage the $3T+ portfolio.

As a seasoned leader, Dr. Zhu is passionate about fostering growth and leadership skills among his team members.

Harish is a Senior IT Development Manager with Freddie Mac whose role centers around cultivating impactful partnerships with diverse business divisions and delivery of IT solutions. Harish enjoys developing high-performing professional teams, building effective collaborative relationships, shaping strategic roadmaps, as well as orchestrating and executing the delivery of technical solutions that drives transformation.

Harish earned his Chemical Engineering degree in India, but soon fell in love with IT. He currently lives in Fairfax County with his wife and 2 boys. In his spare time he enjoys participating in his children’s activities, yoga, meditation and building/fixing stuff at home, including his wife’s software bugs, sons’ gravity vehicles, laptops, dryers, washers and more.

Jothi is an experienced (20+ years) Accenture IT Director/Executive with a proven track record of success with Information technology, Gen AI, Cloud, Data & Applied Intelligence and Financial services, Hospitality, Pharma Industry sectors. He has extensive experience in IT application software Delivery Management with impeccable international client facing skills (Asia, UK & USA). Jothi is results oriented & quality focused, with excellent relationship management skills.

He also has strong leadership, strategic planning, business analysis & development experience.

Junhua is a technical leader with over 20 years of IT software architecture, design, development and management experience. She is passionate about building best in class software solutions with a proven track record of successfully delivering challenging projects on time.

Junhua also has experience in providing accounting consultations/queries for audit, monitoring the regulatory and standard-setting activities, as well as writing technical communications and thought leadership pieces on the latest accounting issues and developments.

Kurian is a forward-thinking and business-focused IT leader, with over 24 years of experience leading strategic transformations, and large IT initiatives from ideation to completion. He is a creative and flexible change agent, with a proven track record in incubating and maturing innovative IT strategies, and architectural visions.

Mrunal is an experienced Financial Controller and Risk & Controller with a proven track record in end-to-end SOX control design, particularly tailored to Finance & Information Technology processes. She was also commended for her ability to collaborate with diverse enterprise teams, infusing strong analytical skills with a natural flair for communication and influence.

Mrunal is proficient in financial protocols combined with a nuanced understanding of data analytics bringing a holistic approach to challenges, steering organizational progression, and streamlined operations.

Patricia is a Senior Manager in Deloitte’s Audit & Assurance practice. She specializes in Sustainability & ESG Services and works at the intersection of businesses and academia to infuse sustainability in strategic planning and execution.

She has authored peer-reviewed journal articles and books in sustainability strategy, and her work has been covered by the media including the Financial Times, Washington Post, and Fox News.

She was a tenured Associate Professor at Loyola University Maryland and served in sustainability-related roles at ABN AMRO Bank, Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS), and United Nations - International Labor Organization (ILO).

Patricia received a Fulbright scholarship to pursue graduate education in the U.S. and later obtained her Ph.D. in Strategic Management at George Washington University. She is a GRI Certified Professional and FSA Credential Holder.

Samantha Lee, Growth and Innovation Leader (Accenture) 2023 / CELP Cohort 7 Co-Lead

Sam has worked at Accenture for over 11 years leading teams across a variety of Defense clients focusing on data, analytics and emerging technology. She now focuses on connecting client challenges with innovative solutions across all of Accenture's Defense and VA clients.

In her spare time, Sam enjoys traveling to interesting and unique places, finding great new places to eat, practicing Pilates, and spending time with her husband Robert and dog Kona.

Sandeep is a Product Leader with experience in building and implementing customer-centric solutions in a variety of industries, including e-commerce, mortgages, and federal financials. She is a strategic thinker committed to promoting innovation and corporate progress. She developed market research projects and marketing plans to broaden the product offerings, which led to a 25% increase in stakeholders—loan officers—and an 87% increase in customer satisfaction.

Sandeep leads cross-functional teams to success and creates creative product strategies that regularly fulfil customer expectations, and go above and beyond corporate goals. She has 20 years of professional product implementation expertise with CGI Federal, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

Sofia is a tenured Senior Manager in Deloitte’s Government and Public Sector (GPS) practice based in Arlington, Virginia. Known for her expertise in Program Management, Financial Assurance, Risk, and Compliance, she develops tailored solutions using innovative processes and industry best practices.

A strategic leader, Sofia advocates for diversity and inclusion, and is the trusted advisor for CFO and COO organizations on operational efficiency, financial reliance, and compliance.

Outside of her professional sphere, she was born in Afghanistan, raised in Pakistan and pursuit of higher education brought her to the United States in 2006. She is dedicated to her family, being a wife and the proud parent of two toddler girls.

Song works as the Securitization Transaction Management Director at the CMO issuance desk at Freddie Mac. He acts in a lead role in the Mortgage Backed Securities issuance process, which includes client relationship and transaction management. Song has led the pricing, negotiation and management of an array of mortgage re-securitization transactions.

Song currently lives in Great Falls, VA with his wife, a 9th grader son and Wilbur—his Weimaraner dog. He enjoys outdoor activities and photography.

Steven Lazo - Senior Manager (Deloitte) 2023 / CELP Cohort 7 Co-Lead

Steven have over 13 years of experience providing innovative methods of cyber risk management and cybersecurity services to federal clients within the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community. He has been integral in helping his clients protect and defend information systems and networks from cyber adversaries and manage their access management through the implementation of Identity, Credential, and Access Management solutions.

Vishal is a Senior Architect with 23 years of technology experience helping clients envision, design, and build distributed enterprise systems in multi-cloud environments. He is a solutions-oriented professional with notable success in a broad range of corporate IT initiatives while participating in planning, architecture, and implementation of software solutions in direct support of business objectives.

Vishal has served in a variety of roles in consulting practices such as requirement gathering, business analysis, and solution architecture. He possesses broad skills in both technical and functional areas with experience in full software life cycle implementationsfunctional encompassing a diverse set of business environments.
