Aimée Meher-Homji is the Senior VP of Global Talent Acquisition at Nielsen and is Executive Sponsor of its Native American BRG. Previously, she was the VP of Talent Acquisition at Adidas and a member of its Global DEI Council. Prior to that Aimée served as the VP of Talent Acquisition at Sodexo also served as Co-Executive Sponsor for PANG, Sodexo’s Asian American EBRG. Ms. Meher-Homji’s career spans 20+ years of experience in talent acquisition, sales and strategy across the public and private sectors on a global platform. Her experience also includes leadership roles include the Global Inclusion & Diversity Recruiting Lead and the Global Operations Lead for Leadership Recruiting at Accenture.
Previously, Ms. Meher-Homji spent a number of years in executive search where her client work included placing Board Directors, CEOs, Presidents, and C-Suite Executives across multiple industries. She was a Partner and Leader of Global Development at Korn Ferry for eight years and also served on the firm's Diversity & Inclusion Council. Previously, she was at Russell Reynolds Associates where she worked across multiple industries and launched operations to establish the firm's presence in India. Earlier in her career, she served as a global relationship manager for Fortune 500 companies at the Corporate Executive Board where she managed clients within the U.S. and Australia.
Ms. Meher-Homji is the Board Chair for APIA Scholars, a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, the Society for International Development, and the International Public Management Association for HR, and has served on the boards of Girl Rising and the YWCA USA. She currently serves on Gartner’s Recruiting Customer Advisory Board. She holds a M.A. degree in International Affairs and Economics from Old Dominion University and a B.A. degree in International Studies and English Literature from Aquinas College.
Ameer Ali is a Sales and Delivery Leader in Accenture’s US South Market Unit, and the National co-lead for Accenture’s US Asian Pacific American ERG (APAERG). Over the past twenty years, Ameer has delivered business outcomes across ERP, SCM, CRM, and Analytics for marquee organizations such as Panasonic, Hershey’s, Kellogg’s, Abbott, the United Nations, US Dept. of Agriculture, US Dept. of Defense, and the US Census Bureau. He is currently leading a large SAP S4 transformation at a global Fashion and Retail client.
Ameer is a graduate of Ascend GW’s CELP Cohort 1, and owes what he is to many leaders, peers, and team members who have shaped and improved him as a professional, and as a person. He is passionate about paying it forward, and relishes serving as an active mentor, coach, and counselor to many rising leaders. Outside of work, Ameer enjoys reading about history, civics, culture, politics, food, and traveling on a budget to different parts of the world. He hit 16 countries in the 36 months pre-COVID, and has been able to get to Iceland, Ireland, and India in 2021. Ameer lives in Northern Virginia with his wife and two kids.
Connie Weber is a PMP-certified Deloitte professional with over 16 years of work experience in both public and private sectors. She has experience leading a wide range of large scale business and technology enabled transformation, including focus areas in business process improvement, program and performance management, medical logistics and clinical transformation, contact center optimization, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) strategy and software implementation, and systems implementation and integration. She has managed multidisciplinary teams throughout all phases of the system development life cycle (SDLC). Connie is Siebel 7 certified and is a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. She also holds a Department of Defense Secret Security clearance.
Connie is a native to Northern Virginia where she currently resides with her husband and two sons. She loves traveling, trying out local mom and pop restaurants, and being a travel baseball mom!
Deepak Jain is an audit and risk management professional with Freddie Mac in McLean, Virginia. He is a CPA and received an MBA and MS – Accounting from The University of Rhode Island. Deepak has held various leadership positions with Bank of America and Bank of Montreal where he helped develop risk management and audit processes in the area of capital markets and banking. Deepak also holds a leadership position with the ASIAN Employee Resource Group at Freddie Mac where he championed new programs to promote diversity within Freddie Mac. Deepak enjoys playing tennis and traveling.
Eric Wu is a Senior Manager within the Accenture Federal’s Digital & Emerging Platforms practice, where he focuses on delivery and strategy of innovative Digital, Case Management, Business Process Management, and Systems Integration solutions for the US Federal Government. Additionally, Eric has leveraged his expertise within Enterprise Architecture, Integration, and Digital in shaping and managing Technology Strategy and Delivery efforts. Eric also has extensive experience in engaging with organizational executives (CxO, VP, Director-level) who are ultimately responsible for business transformation initiatives within the organization. He has managed teams up to 130+ resources that span multiple geographies, including US, India, and China; well-versed in onshore and offshore delivery. Eric prides himself on being able to cultivate and develop talent—and is passionate about mentoring and guiding those on his teams to achieve personal professional growth. In addition to his Federal experience, Eric has spent the past 15 years working across a variety of verticals including Pharmaceuticals, Retail, Consumer Goods and Services, Utilities, Cable, and Banking industries over the course of his career.
Heng Wei is a Director at PwC with the transfer pricing group in Tysons Corner, Virginia and will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the transfer pricing work. Heng specializes in intercompany pricing analyses, economic analyses, and the economic valuation of tangible property, intangible property and services. Heng has experience in advising multinational companies on matters related to determining, evaluating, and documenting intercompany pricing arrangements. In particular she has experience in transfer of intangible property and associated royalties, cost sharing of intellectual property, and development of intercompany services arrangements.
Heng holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Maryland and an MA in Economics from Tsinghua University. Her prior experience includes working at the World Bank and teaching undergraduate level courses in economics at the University of Maryland.
Linda Nguyen, Principal at Elletiene Property Partners
Finance professional creating value for institutional investors by structuring and negotiating high ROI real estate investments. Linda specializes in negotiating with a multitude of stakeholders with divergent interests to put together complex investment deals. She maximizes portfolio value with her experience in risk mitigation, risk management, acquisitions, dispositions, commercial lending/underwriting, lease negotiations, workouts, portfolio management and asset management.
Linda studied finance at the University of Virginia's McIntire School of Commerce and worked in the litigation consulting practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers before her career in commercial real estate finance and investments. Passionate about being a positive agent of change for our community through urban planning and development, she serves on the Advisory Council of the Tysons Partnership (a collaborative of stakeholders working to accelerate Tysons’ transformation into a pedestrian-friendly, urban city). Linda is a foodie, and also enjoys group fitness, the outdoors, yoga and meditation.
Mary is a senior manager with Deloitte’s Federal Advisory practice. She has been with Deloitte for 10 years delivering Cyber Risk Services in both commercial and Federal markets. Previously, she worked for IBM Global Services in Colorado. Mary was born in Korea, and her family immigrated to the U.S. when she was four years old. Since moving to Greater Washington four years ago, she really enjoys experiencing the cherry blossoms every spring.
KT Thomas has 25 years of experience in FP&A and is currently the Senior Director of Marketing Research Analytics & Insights at Freddie Mac since 2018.
KT leads the finance team that supports the Single Family business, the largest segment of Freddie Mac. Over the last 12 years at Freddie Mac, KT has led many teams including the accounting team that completed the restatement effort related to accounting policy changes, finance lead supporting the business unit responsible for managing the 2007 financial crisis by providing analytics to support the business establish foreclosure prevention activities and loss mitigation plans and most recently supporting the Sales, Pricing and Credit Risk transfer areas of the business.
Prior to Freddie Mac, KT was Manager of Global Finance Operations for Accenture where he was responsible for providing finance support to the Communication and High Tech division. Over his eight years at Accenture, KT designed complex models to support operational decision making and strategic planning, risk management, establishing profitability and pricing targets globally. KT also held lead roles in establishing internal controls globally for compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and was assigned as the program manager while working with investment bank managing the IPO for Accenture. KT's other experiences include corporate financial planning at Capital One and investment operations at Providian Capital Management. KT is an avid golfer and enjoys biking and running. KT lives in Lansdowne Virginia with his wife Maryann and three children.
Dr. Zhenyu Rick Liu is a Senior Manager and Advanced Statistical Analysis practice leader at Quantitative Economics and Statistics (QUEST) group in National Tax, Ernst & Young (EY). Rick has over eleven years of hands-on and supervisory experience in developing, validating and implementing statistical sampling and modeling methodologies for clients in finance, healthcare, information technology and media & entertainment research industries. While at EY, Rick manages 200+ statistical sampling engagements for various tax liability and benefit calculations, regulatory compliance and risk assessments. Rick also serves as Statistical Subject Matter Expert across EY Tax, Advisory and Assurance practices.
Rick is currently an adjunct professor in the Department of Statistics at the George Washington University. He has published peer-reviewed research papers in engineering and statistical journals and presented his work at national conferences.
Rick holds a Ph.D. in Statistics from George Washington University and received his Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China.
