Karen Jung is a Tax Director based in PwC’s Washington DC Metro office. She has over 10 years of public accounting experience, of which 8 were spent with PwC. She has had a variety of experience with different focuses within tax, including high net worth individual income tax, global mobility tax, and now Research and Development (“R&D”) tax credits.

Karen currently manages R&D tax credit projects for clients of all sizes in diverse industries, including computer software, aerospace and defense, and consumer markets. She works with engineers, scientists, software developers, and other subject matter specialists to advise companies on how to identify, calculate, document, and defend their research credits.

Karen has extensive experience working with US inbound clients and spent six months on international assignment at the PwC Paris office to assist with one of her largest clients, based in France. This enabled her to better understand the perspective of US inbound clients and develop invaluable relationships to run more effectively inbound engagements. Karen received her Bachelor’s degree in Finance and International Business from Georgetown University. She is an Enrolled Agent and fluent in English, Korean, and French.
